The River Tees Watersports Centre was founded in 2001 and for the past twenty years has been a social hub for water enthusiasts and anyone looking for a great venue perfectly located on the picturesque River Tees. We are at the forefront of adventure activities and offer great value packages for individuals looking for a new experience or groups looking for the perfect water-based challenge! We also offer affordable rates for special occasion functions and corporate events.

Our water-based activities are available for all ages, throughout the year. We have a friendly, knowledgeable team who are on hand to help and to give you the reassurance of being in a safe, comfortable environment, while you are having fun!

Functions, Parties & Events
Our venue is perfect for hosting wedding receptions, birthday parties and corporate events. We have a wide range of catering options too. With river view rooms, discos and bars, we believe that we have everything you need for a great party. Our premises are wheelchair accessible and has free parking available.

School Trips & Corporate Groups
We have a variety of water-based activities for larger groups. Suited to school children or adults, our flexible approach means we can tailor our packages to meet your specific needs. We make sure that all of our guests have an amazing experience on the water and remain safe at all times.

River Tees Watersports Centre is home to the historic Tees Rowing Club
Tees Rowing Club (Tees RC) is a community rowing club that is open to all. The club was founded in 1864 and has been based at River Tees Watersports Centre since 2001. As stated on the Tees RC website, our centre has "a six-bay boathouse on the ground floor and social, training and changing facilities on the upper floor. These include a fully-licensed bar, a gym with weights and exercise equipment. There is a well equipped kitchen, the Riverside Room, a multi-use room with a balcony and views of the river. The uses of this room include circuit training sessions and social events such as the club's Annual Dinner and Christmas party, as well as providing a venue for private functions.
